About the Role

As a live-in child caregiver in Montréal, you’ll provide day-to-day care for children in a family home. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a nurturing and structured environment where children can grow, learn, and feel safe.

This is a full-time, on-site position (40 hours per week). The role begins as soon as possible, and room and board are provided for the successful candidate.

The employer has also applied for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a temporary foreign worker, though Canadian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children in a safe, home-based setting.

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable living environment.

• Assist children with personal hygiene and daily routines.

• Plan educational and recreational activities that promote development.

• Accompany children to school, appointments, or outdoor activities as needed.

• Follow parents’ instructions regarding routines and household rules.

Requirements

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma (or equivalent).

• Experience: 1–2 years in child care or a similar caregiver role.

• Languages: English or French.

• Work Setting: On-site, in the employer’s home (no remote option).
