About the Role (Detailed)

As a live-in caregiver Kanata ON, you’ll reside in the client’s home (room and board provided) to support daily living activities. You’ll assist with personal care, medication, meals, hygiene, exercise, and offer companionship in a warm, structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside and personal care

• Administer medications accurately

• Assist clients during bathing, personal hygiene, and pool activities

• Support mobility and encourage regular exercise, like walking

• Collect specimens as needed

• Feed or assist with feeding

• Launder and mend clothing and linens

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks

• Plan therapeutic menus and prepare nutritious meals

• Provide companionship and emotional support

Requirements

• College diploma in health or community care (1–2 year program)

• CPR and First Aid certification

• 1–2 years of caregiving experience

• Criminal record check and references required

• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, patience, and good judgment
